Now, in the 21st century, industrial history is being made again with the development of a new phenomenon in the same realm of duplication, except this time it's digital. We call it Digital Twin.

The Dutch energy industry is in the midst of a substantial transformation, much like many others in Europe. The incorporation of renewable energy sources, especially wind and solar, has introduced more unpredictability into the system. These fluctuations in expected renewable energy generation can lead to increased grid imbalances or congestion, which can pose issues for conventional energy management methods.

V2X, meaning vehicle-to-everything, is the overarching term for transferring the electricity stored in electric vehicle (EV) batteries to the grid, buildings, houses, and other energy-consuming destinations. V2X requires bi-directional energy flow from the charger to the vehicle and bi- or unidirectional flow from the charger to the destination, depending on the use case. Although there have been a number of successful V2X pilots, it is still considered an emerging technology. 

One of the biggest limiting factors in fast-charging just about any EV is heat. Automakers have been looking for ways to keep charging cool, from liquid cooling cables to upping the voltage architecture of cars. On the consumer side of things, some people have found a way to trick chargers into providing faster charge rates by draping a wet cloth onto the charger handle.
